The Uncools

/

From the back alleys and basement bars of Toronto, The Uncools emerged—four shadows with instruments, stitched together by distortion, moonlight, and shared chaos. Their sound is indie alt/rock with a bite: jagged around the edges, soaked in reverb, and pulsing with a kind of beautiful unrest.

Their debut single, “Fun Guy,” is a strange trip—equal parts anthem and fever dream. With snarling guitars, off-kilter hooks, and lyrics that toe the line between surreal and sharp, it’s a song about decay, rebirth, and maybe mushrooms. Probably mushrooms.

The band refuses to say what “Fun Guy” really means.
“You’ll either get it,” says their bassist, “or it’ll get you.”

We’re not here to chase trends. We’re here to carve out a space for voices that deserve to be heard, stories that deserve to be told, and music that deserves to be played loud on vinyl, preferably while staring at a lake or driving down an empty highway.
