Smokey
Smokey "Lee" King was born under a blood moon on the backstreets of New Orleans, where jazz still rises with the morning fog and rhythm is stitched into the soul like a second skin. They say he took his first breath to the sound of a trumpet wailing down Basin Street, and he’s been chasing that note ever since.
Raised on gumbo, gospel, and the ghosts of the French Quarter, Lee carries the weight of old souls in a young body. His voice? Molasses and thunder. His songs? Prayers wrapped in velvet, lit by candlelight and soaked in truth.
With Heart of Fire his spellbinding debut he offers a baptism of sound: soul steeped in southern heat, heartbreak, redemption, and a kind of yearning that feels both ancient and new.
