Socklighter at his local watering hole

Socklighter

/

Hailing from Brighton, England, Jeff Dunnen "Socklighter" is a twenty-something genre-blender making serious waves in the UK indie scene. With a sound that channels the cheeky swagger of Blur and the genre-hopping flair of Gorillaz, Jamie’s tracks are a kaleidoscope of catchy hooks, gritty guitars, and beat-driven experimentation. His music balances Britpop nostalgia with a forward-looking, DIY aesthetic that’s turning heads in underground circles and beyond.

Fresh off the buzz from his breakout single "Got it all" Jamie is set to drop a string of new tracks this fall, rumored to include collaborations with a rising producer from Berlin and a spoken-word artist from Manchester. His lyrics are razor-sharp—playful but political—and his choruses stick in your head for days.

When he’s not making music, Jeff runs a monthly zine called "Caffeine Ghosts," spotlighting emerging UK creatives and late-night cafe culture. He also DJs under the alias "KXNOX" at pop-up warehouse gigs across London and moonlights as a voice actor for indie video games.

With charisma, talent, and a restless creative spirit, Je is a name you’re going to hear a lot more of. Catch him now—before everyone else does.

We’re not here to chase trends. We’re here to carve out a space for voices that deserve to be heard, stories that deserve to be told, and music that deserves to be played loud on vinyl, preferably while staring at a lake or driving down an empty highway.
